Seattle Primary Bath

In this 1957 Seattle home, the original master bathroom was small, dark, and outdated, contrasting with the home's vaulted ceilings and open layout. To create a warm, functional space with a separate shower, the homeowner—an interior designer—added a four-foot angled bump-out and vaulted the ceiling, introducing natural light through new windows. Sandstone tiles replaced the dated 2x2s, offering warmth and budget-friendly elegance alongside a vessel sink and sleek stainless faucet. An angled vanity, full-height mirror with inset cabinet, and frameless glass shower door enhanced openness, while bamboo flooring completed the transformation. The result is a thoughtfully expanded, light-filled bathroom that blends utility with inviting style.
