Seattle Kitchen

This kitchen remodel balanced modern functionality with the 1920s Bungalow/Craftsman aesthetic, preserving the Arts and Crafts charm while updating the space. The original wide plank fir floors were uncovered and restored, wood paneling and soffits removed, and vinyl windows replaced with wood. A built-in bench was added in a corner nook for seating and storage, echoing the bungalow tradition of integrated cabinetry. Though the footprint remained unchanged, relocating appliances improved flow. Modern conveniences like a Subzero fridge, Bosch dishwasher, and Viking range were concealed behind matching cabinet panels, while a white farmer’s sink, brushed nickel faucet, and period lighting completed the transformation. The result is a highly efficient kitchen that feels true to its Craftsman roots. (Gallery Includes Before Photos)
