To reclaim their kitchen from the daily clutter of art projects, homework, and sports gear, the owners converted their underused family room—located off the entry hall and kitchen—into a dedicated craft space for their sons. The room was enclosed to contain mess while preserving natural light through a curved glass block wall and glazed French door. Removing the original fireplace made way for floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry and a corkboard display, while three laminated desks and adjacent lockers provided organized zones for creativity and storage. The entry hall was reimagined with built-in cabinets and an art nook, replacing old French doors and creating a welcoming focal point. With a durable vinyl tile floor and thoughtful layout, the new craft room offers the family a vibrant, functional space without compromising their kitchen’s role as an entertaining hub
